2019 Women World Cup: Cameroon Drawn in Group E

The fixtures for the 2019 Women World Cup in France have been known.

The draw were conducted today in
Boulougne-Billancourt in
the Seine Musicale Art centre in Paris.

The indomitable lionesses of Cameroon have been paired alongside 2015 host Canada, New Zealand, and Netherlands.

The national female selection of Cameroon who are currently ranked second (2nd) in Africa and forty sixth(46) in the world are in their second participation in the global event.

Cameroon’s first appearance in the Women World Cup was in 2015 in Canada.

The other African representatives in the World Cup next year,Nigeria and South Africa have been paired in Group A and B respectively.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will face host France, Norway and Korea Republic in Group A.

Ranked 39th in Africa and the best African team In the continent, Nigeria totals the highest number of participation at the Women World Cup with 8 appearances.

Nigeria are currently Africa’s reigning Champions but are yet to impose their continental dominance in the global scene.

South Africa on their part face Germany, China and Spain.

It is the first time the Banyana Banyana of South Africa are participating in a Women finals after emerging second in the continent, losing to Nigeria during the AWCON final in Ghana.

The women’s World Cup will take place in France from the 7th of June to the 7th of July across 9 host cities; Lyon,Nice,Le Havre, Reims,Rennes,Valencia,Grenoble,Montpelier and Paris capital of France.

The winner of next years World Cup will suceede the United State of America who are the defending champions and the most Successful team with 3titles.
