Over 100 detained Kamto supporters apply for bail

At least 100 detained supporters of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement will appear before the Mfoundi High Court in Yaounde today for a hearing requesting for their immediate release.
The habeas corpus plea filed by their lawyers  want them immediately released on grounds that they were unlawfully arrested and detained.

Kidnapped Gov’t official finally released

The North West Regional Delegate for the Environment and Nature Protection was kidnapped last week in Bamenda has finally been released,  sources have said.
Henry Awah was released over the weekend after spending one week in captivity. His wife who was kidnapped on Sunday March 3 was equally released.

Francklyn Ngwa released

Reports say Franklyn Ngwa Che of the South West regional Governors office who was kidnapped early Sunday March 3th, 2019 by unidentified individuals has been released. It is alleged that a ransom was paid before he was released, after the kidnappers contacted his family.

International Trade Fair on security and safety holds in Yaoundé

A Cameroon start up WILL & BROTHERS is organizing the first International Trade-Fair on Security and Safety in Central Africa under the patronage of the ministry of defence in Cameroon. The conference runs from the 12 to the 15 of March at the Yaoundé Conference Center.

Central African President’s stopover in Douala

The President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadera, will spend a few hours in the Littoral Region today. He flies in from Brussels, Belgium. He will be received at the Douala International Airport by the Governor of the Littoral Region.

Fire incident at the Douala Central Market

A dozen of shops were ravaged by flames at the Apple Market and the Central Market of Douala yesterday Sunday, March 10, 2019. Firefighters were deployed to limit the damage.

MINPROFF boss heads to New York

The Minister of Women Empowerment and the Family, Marie Therese Abena Ondoa, is headed to New York, United States, today Monday. She heads with a delegation from Cameroon, to the work on the 73rd session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Cameroon’s U17 National Football team returns

The U17 National football team arrived at Douala International Airport around 3am on Monday. The U17 lions return from a UEFA tournament in Turkey where they got two wins and one defeat. After a two – days rest, coach Libih Thomas and his team will head to Yaoundé to prepare for the 2019 AFCON Games in Tanzania.
