Cameroon forward Nchout Njoya Ajara scored her second goal for Inter Milan on match day seven of the Women’s Serie A but could not help her team avoid a 1-2 defeat against defending champions Juventus.
The former Atletico Madrid striker was handed a starting role and played full time during Saturday’s defeat against the Serie A title holders.
Ajara’s had a tremendqious impact in the second half after both teams settled for a goalless draw at the break. The Indomitable Lionesses striker scored to put Inter level on terms against Juventus who took the lead at the 71st minute through Babara Bonensea. But her goal was not enough to save a point at home as Andrea Staskova scored late to grab a precious win.
The defeat leaves Inter fourth on the Women’s Serie A table with 12 points from 7 games this season while Juventus went top on the logs with 21pts. Inter will face seventh place Florentina on match day eight next week as they hope to return to winning ways.
Nchout Njoya Ajara has now played four games for Inter Milan this season since joining from Spain in October 2021. The 28-year-old has scored twice against Juventus and Inter and has been named in the team of the week once.
