Her teammates Merveille Nkoyock registered 17 points during Monday’s game; Hermine Ngueko scored 10 points, while Alexandra Green ameliorated her performance adding 3 more passes to her six in the first game against Kenya whom they beat in their opening group A fixture 74-50.
Cameroon joins regulars Nigeria, Senegal and Mali who progressed to the last eight of the competition after recording impressive wins on Monday.
The host will face either Egypt or Tunisia-who clash on Wednesday in a North African derby- in the quarter-final. The basketball Lionesses are poised to reach the semi-final of the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket for the first time since 2015.
