· Cameroon U-19 team are still in pursuit of their first win at the 2021 World Volleyball Championship.

The Under-19 men’s Volleyball team of Cameroon have suffered their second defeat at the on-going World Volleyball Championship in Iran after losing to Russia by 0 sets to 3.
It is the second successive defeat for the Under-19 Volleyball Lions who had lost their opening pool C game to Thailand 1 set to 3 on Wednesday.
They initially got off to a great start in their first game winning the first set 25-22 but went on to lose the remaining sets 25-13, 25-21, 25-20.
Similar tragedy was felt in their second outing against pool leaders Russia as they were overpowered 25-17, 26-24 and 25-19.
Cameroon-who currently sit bottom of their pool- face Belgium in their third encounter this Friday with hopes to secure their first victory of the competition. A win for the debutant will be a great booster before they conclude their group fixtures against Bulgaria
Both nations have endured a difficult start in the competition with Belgium-Cameroon next opponent-winless in their first two games.
The 20-nation tournament will run until September 2, 2021.
