Cameroon U-20 Lionesses beat Morocco in first leg of international friendly

·      Lamine Mana and Enganembem Annie were on target as the Under-20 women’s team overpowered Morocco 2-0 in Yaoundé.

The Under-20 Women’s national football team of Cameroon defeated Morocco’s U20 football selection 2-0 in the first leg of a double international friendly on Sunday at the Annex of the Ahmadou Ahidjou Stadium. 

It is the first win for the team under the new head coach Josephine Mike Ndoumou who replaced Charles Kandem in June 2021.

The Lionesses scored in both halves of the game as they began preparations ahead of the Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.        

The under-20 Lionesses have resumed training ahead of the return leg fixture with Morocco

FAP of Yaounde’s forward Lamine Mana opened the scoring at the 40th minute while Enganemben Annie-who got a last minute invite to the national team- came off the bench to seal a deserved win three minutes to stoppage time.

The team will continue training at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo ahead of the return leg game on July 8 at the annex number one of the Ahmadou Ahidjou Stadium.
