Eto’o submits candidacy to become Cameroon Football Federation President

Hundreds of Samuel Eto’o’s supporters eager to watch him submit his candidacy before the deadline for next month’s Cameroon Football Federation elections, turned out yesterday to show their support.

The African football legend became the first aspirant for the top job to deposit his documents on Wednesday November 18, 2021 at the headquarters of the Cameroon FA body in Tsinga-Yaounde.

The former Indomitable Lions talisman captain told the press he will be the next Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) President despite all the manipulations.

“I will be the next president of FECAFOOT despite all the manipulations. Let the delegates take their responsibilities to give a new dawn for Cameroon football,” Samuel Eto’o told press men.  

Other candidates to run for the Elections including former Cameroon National Team players like Jules Denis Onana, Maboang Kessack, incumbent Seidou Mbombo Njoya and Jean Crepin Soter Nyamsi are expected to file their candidacy before today’s deadline.

The election for the new president of FECAFOOT will take place on December 11, 2021. 

The list of candidates to run for the elections will be released by the Electoral Commission of FECAFOOT in about a weeks’ time.
