Flora kameni scored a second half brace within two minutes as Louves Minproff thrash Canon 3-0 to go top of the Guiness Super League on match day 19 on Wednesday.
The host were the better side throughout the exciting centre regional derby. They demonstrated great quality and overpowered their rivals who had run out of steam.
They deservedly took the lead barely 10 minutes into the thrilling tie when Alice Maffo opened the scoring with a fine finish. Knowing a win will take them back to the top of the League, the title hopefuls wrapped-up their high standard display with two second half goals from Flora kameni.
The 20-year-old striker-who finished top scorer last season-, scored two goals in two minutes to seal a convincing win for her side. She is now tied with Awa FC Brenda Tabe and Eclaire of Sa’a Eliane Bibout on 14 goals each after match day 19.
Louves Minproff is currently two points clear nearest challengers Awa FC. The centre regional league outfit are poised to clinch another domestic silverware before they represent Cameroon at the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League.
In the other game played on Sunday, Eding Filles were held to a nervy goalless stalemate by Caiman of Douala.
The draw implies Eding Sport moves to sixth spot while Caiman remain in the ninth position of the 12 team competition.
