Igniatius Ganago came off the bench and scored his second consecutive goal to help RC Lens beat Lorient 3-2 on match day three of the French First Division championship.

The Cameroonian forward who scored the winner against French Champions Paris Saint Germain in the previous round, scored for RC Lens barely six minutes after coming off the bench for his teammate Florian Sotoca and sealed a deserving win for the Ligue 1 returnees.

RC Lens have won two of their last three fixtures in the French Ligue 1. They gained promotion to the top tier Championship with Lorient whom they beat on Sunday. It was a tough win for RC Lens who trailed during the first quarter of the game and ending up reduced to 10-men.

Igniatius Ganagao has scored two goals in three games this season. He has continued his impressive form, which his current club hopes shall guide them to retain their top tier status. In July 2020,  Nice agreed a £6 million deal to sell the Cameroonian striker, to the newly promoted French League 1 side.

Lens were promoted to the Ligue 1 on April 30th 2020, after the French Football Federation, (LFP) decided to end the seasons of both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 early due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

They face Bordeaux next week.
