Blondon Meyapa Fongain has joined French Ligue one side SCO Angers from Cameroon second tier club Fauve Azur on a four year deal.
The 20-year-old Cameroonian international-who joins his compatriots Stephane Bahoken in the club-was unveiled by the French club via their official twitter page on Thursday.
Blondy Mayepya Fongain captained Cameroon at the 2021 Under-20 African Cup of Nations in Mauritania. He played a starring role as the Under-20 Lions reached the quarter-final of the continental youth competition although they lost to eventual winners Ghana.
The Cameroonian international has enjoyed stints with the national team of Cameroon. He made his debut against Mozambique during the 2021 AFCON qualifiers in March under Coach Antonio Conceicao.
He garnered a lot of interest from several clubs especially in France notably Stade Brestois before signing his first professional contract with the Black and Whites.
Angers finished 13th of the French Ligue 1 last season with 44 points after 38 games. They lost in the Semi-final of the French Cup to Paris Saint Germain after losing by 5-0.
