Nkumu Fed Fed is set to launch its Annex office on Saturday, 12th October 2019, at the Police Credit Union Office in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon.
The launching of the office is incorporated with the debut of a new flagship programme for the association; its action plan for troubled times to Internally Displaced Persons from the English speaking regions of Cameroon.
The launch comes one day after the International Day of the girl child.
Nkumu Fed Fed (NFF) is a network of women’s groups committed to improving the status and living conditions of vulnerable communities of women, youths and the girl in rural areas of the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon.
The network of sister associations’action plan for the troubled times is a full-scale engagement to rescue IDPs who lost property, homes or workplaces/jobs. It intends to help IDP’s rebuild local businesses and social life through sustainable programmes and skills-trainings.
Nkumu Fed Fed flagship vocational programme for the displaced is divided into three phases.
The first kicks off October 2019, a long-term (1-year) training programme; it runs until graduation in October 2020.
The second is a Parallel short-term (3-month) training programmes; four sets of 20 IDP trainees each, totalling 80 by October 2020.
The last will have interested women’s groups to be offered skills-trainings Community-based education to be organized in several locations for children of 5 to 10 years old who are unable to attend regular school.
