Isaac Amata, the Nigerian ‘Prophet’ who predicted Edgar Lungu’s 2016 election victory and was even hosted by the Head of State, has been detained by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) for trafficking in Ephedrine.
Amata, 42, of Delta Ibu State in Nigeria, has been arrested for trafficking in 26.29kg of Ephedrine.
According to a statement released by DEC spokesperson Theresa Katongo, the suspect was apprehended at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport upon arrival from Nigeria aboard South African Airways flight.
She said the Nigerian pastor “was arrested upon arrival at the airport from Nigeria aboard a South African Airways plane.”
She added that, “The suspect is currently in police custody and will appear in court soon.”
