• Karisa Milton scored a first half brace as Uganda produced a superb display to end Niger’s unbeaten run.
Uganda ended the four nations Pre-CHAN mini-tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over Niger as they continue to gear-up for the continental football show piece which kicks-off on January 16.
With two wins in three games, the team emerges the best nation of the four nations tournament ahead of Zambia, Niger and host Cameroon.
The Cranes were in front within the early minutes of the game after Karisa Milton fired the team in front with a delightful finish from close range.
He then turned to a provider with a well curled pass from the right that was swept home by Kyeyune Saidi for a second before he wrapped up a decent first half with a brace.
However the team lost intensity in the second half and on several occasion suffered a late flurry of pressure from Niger who late appropriate finishes to chances created.
Uganda finished with two victories and a draw in the four nations mini-tournament. They will head to Douala this Friday to continue their preparation.
The Cranes of Uganda face holders Morocco, Togo and Rwanda in group C of the CHAN.
